Ms. Rideout earned her undergraduate degree in political science with a minor in economics from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was a four-year recipient of the Provost Scholarship and a Cum Laude graduate. While achieving her undergraduate degree, Ms. Rideout interned in the United States Senate in Washington, D.C. for Senator Jim Bunning. She then obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis where she was awarded the Norman Lefstein Award of Excellence for contributing over 200 hours of pro bono work to the Indiana Office of the Attorney General. As a law student, Ms. Rideout was an extern for Judges Gerald S. Zore and Heather Welch in Marion County Superior Court, interned for the Indiana Office of the Attorney General in the Civil Rights and Employment division through the Program on Law and State Government, and completed a 40-hour course for Public Policy Mediation. She also participated in the Honorable Robert H. Staton Intramural Moot Court Competition and was a student member of the Indianapolis Bar Association.
Meagan currently serves as the vice chair of the EBA’s Young Lawyers Section Mock Trial Competition for local high school students. She is an active member of the Junior League of Evansville, serving on two committees for the women’s organization.
